Green landscaping is a way of designing and installing landscaping that is enviromentally friendly and results in lower maintenance cost to you as well as the enviroment. These ideas range from composting to using recycled materials in your hardscapes.

Permeable Paving

Pearmeable pavers allow water to pass through the pavers and back into the ground. This system of pavement reduces storm water run off and the amount of pollutants that get into our streams and lakes. It also allows for better land usage because retention basins and drainage systems are no longer needed.

Low Voltage Lighting
Low voltage lighting is a green way of providing safety and security to your home our buisness. Low voltage systems that utilize LED lighting are more enviromentally friendly and easier to maintain.

Eco-Lawn Organics
100% organic lawn applications help keep your lawn weed and pest free. Same results as chemically treated lawns, but better for the environment and safe for childen and animals.

Water Conservation

Collecting water from downspouts, xeriscaping, water gardens are all ways to help keep our water clean and conserve water at the same time.
1 inch of rainfall on a 2,000 square foot roof generates 1,250 gallons of reusable water.
A 2,000 square foot roof can generate 41,000 gallons of reusable water a year in a region that recieves 30 inches of rain annually.
Running a sprinkler for 2 hours can use up to 500 gallons of water.

Plantings
Strategically placed trees and shrubs allow sunlight to warm your house in the winter and reduce sunlight to help cool your house in the summer. Including native plants in your landscaping also reduces water and pesticide use.

Composting
To help keep grass clippings and other lawn wastes out of the landfill, designate a small area for compost. Include both green(lawn) items and brown(food) items into your compost.

Recycled Products
This product is made from 20% recycled Glass. Glass color gives the block an attractive look.

Mowing

Mow your lawn at 2-3 inches in height so that the grass develops a healthier root system and can crowd out weeds. Not allowing weeds to establish in your lawn will reduce the amount of fertilizer and weed preventer needed.
