Having your mulch blown in, as opposed to wheel barrow and rake, saves you money.

Top-dressing existing mulch beds should be done by installing 1 inch of mulch. When doing by wheel barrow and rake, often more mulch is installed than is needed. Blown mulch can easily be installed at the thickness desired resulting in the correct amount of mulch being used.

Blowing mulch also saves you money, because it speeds up the process. During the right conditions 10 yards of mulch can be spread in one hour with 3 workers. This is compared to 2-3 yards by wheel barrow and rake.

Another benefit of having your mulch blown in, is less disturbance to existing landscaping and lawn. Because wheel barrows are not tracking through your lawn there is no damage to your grass. Existing annuals, perennials and shrubs are also not disturbed because rakes and wheel barrows do not have to maneuver around them. Mulch that has been blown in has a smooth, even look to it. Because it is not dumped out of wheel barrows there are no clumps which results in an elegant and natural looking layer of mulch.
